Higher Education Scholarship Fund [(Conventional and Islamic ( Al-Minnah)]

This is the signature programme of the Koperasi Pembangunan Pendidikan Berhas that emphasizes on the securing the finance for Higher Education. This is a specially designed Fund where by participating in this programme, parents can secure the Scholarship for their children once they enter tertiary education. The following are the features of the KOPP Scholarship Fund.

  1. Parents/Guardians can purchase one or more units for children below the age of 10 years and make periodical contribution towards the fund.
  2. When child attains the age of 18, all contributions are fully refunded to member.
  3. When child continues onto Post-Secondary studies, the child will receive the Scholarship.
  4. The Scholarship is awarded to children who pursue full time courses at Universities/ Colleges.
  5. Studies can be undertaken anywhere in the world.
  6. In the event a child goes to post secondary studies prior to 18, all contributions up to the time of entering a college are refunded and the child receives the scholarship on a Pro-Rata basis.
  7. In the event a child is still enrolled as a full time secondary school students upon reaching age 18, all contributions are first refunded and the member can request in writing for the scholarship to be kept in trust for 2 years.
  8. Scholarship are paid directly to parents whilst in college.
  9. Scholarships are awarded even if children receive other scholarships.
  10. The Fund is held by appointed Trustees

SHOULD MEMBER DIE OR BECOME TOTALLY DISABLED

All contributions up to the time of death or total disability, is refunded to the "payor". No further contribution towards the KOPP Scholarship Fund is required.
The member's child will receive the free Scholarship in the normal manner when he/she continues on to post-secondary education.

End to End Higher Education and Career Guidance

The Higher Education is responsible to assist and facilitate students in getting places in private higher education institutions in Malaysia. KOPP had conducted extensive market research to offer uncompromised advice relating to studying in Malaysia. This is a one-stop information centre for students wishing to study in Malaysia. KOPP is committed to providing the most comprehensive information on international education.

  • Provide educational directory within Malaysia.
  • Coordinating student participation in post-secondary education seminars, admission workshops and information displays.
  • Coordinating the placement of students in line with the student’s choice of study area and university/college.
  • Providing comprehensive directory of information and programs offered, fees charged etc to help students make informed educational choices.
  • Responding to inquiries about admission requirements and application procedures.

Koperasi Pembangunan Pendidikan Berhad has partnership collaboration with a few universities to offer their professional development programmes. The programs will be conducted at training centers in Subang Jaya. Our certificate programs are HRDF claimable.

Saving/Investment Plan

Koperasi Pembangunan Pendidikan Berhad has devised a saving plan that gives return up to 6% per annum. Members of KOPP can take a minimum of 10 units where each unit is RM 100.00. To enjoy the maximum benefit, the minimum duration for the saving is 1 year.

All investments are provided with the Certificate of Investment which will specify the investment amount, maturity date, and the rate of return on the investment.

The benefits among others:

  • Ease of Availability : Get application forms from your Counselors and proceed with Online Transaction. The certificate will be sent to your official address in 7 days.
  • Reliable : All payments are to appointed Trustees , and being a cooperative KOPP is under the preview of Cooperative Commission Malaysia.
  • Multiple Accounts: Any KOPP members can open multiple KOPP Savings accounts.
  • Revenue: At dividend between 5% to 6% per year on your principle.
  • Short Duration: This scheme has tenure of 1 year but can be stretched to add another 5 years. The scheme serves as either a long term plan or a medium range investment.
  • Documentation: Only simple documents are needed i.e NRIC , passport size photo.
  • Type of Investment: You can make an investment by cash (if the amount is less than RM 10,000.00 ) or by DD (Demand Draft) or cheque.
